Another reason why we should add more raw foods in our diet!

Did you know we’re made up of 70 Trillion cells?

Hi Everybody

My name is Nancy and I’m your Health Coach tuning in to provide you with a little bit of insight to help facilitate your own journey towards health and wellness!

70 trillion cells you guys, my mind was blown away when I first discovered that!  Think about it! Isn’t just remarkable how we’re created!?

Now in order for our cells to stay healthy they must communicate with one another.  And the only way they can communicate with each other is by eating a significant amount of vitamins and nutrients!  Which is why it is vital for our optimum health to add more Raw Fruits/Vegetables/Nuts/Seeds to our diet.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the case for most of us!  You see, we’ve seemed to have lost touch with the #1 thing and that is our health!

We have never been so disconnected from our health and wellbeing!  We believe that it’s normal to suffer from chronic fatigue and/or feel achy as we age. Well, I’m here to tell you, that is not normal! That is simply your cells trying to communicate with you through symptoms.

It’s mostly not our fault, we’ve been conditioned to think this way! Think about it, there’s no money to be made if we’re all healthy.  The Pharmaceutical companies would go bankrupt! LOL

We are bombarded with commercials advertising highly processed foods such as fast foods, junk foods, soft drinks that contain little to no vitamins and nutrients, only a chemical shit storm that’s brewing inside your body!  We can’t help ourselves; this stuff is designed to keep us craving for more! Sugar alone is considered to be legal cocaine because it stimulates the same part of our brain! Not to mention, all the excitotoxins they put in there to make sure we’re fully roped in!

Then, once we feel bad and experience different kinds of symptoms such as no energy, chronic fatigue, obesity, high blood pressure, headaches, aches/pain; or any auto-immune disease such as Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, Depression, IBS, ETC….

We then turn to our Dr or our Pharmacist who will only prescribe us medication that will numb the side effects instead of getting to the root cause of our illnesses. Anywho, I digress

My point is, awareness is key to making changes and once I’ve learned how powerful nutrition was for my health and wellbeing, I made sure to add more raw foods to my diet!  And I got to say, what a remarkable difference it makes!

There’s a couple of things to keep in mind when it comes to adding raw foods to your diet;

#1 Buy local!

The reason it’s important to buy local is that you get the maximum amount of vitamins and nutrients. All fruits/vegetables that come from a different country has to be harvested before it is ripped so it doesn’t go bad once it reaches its destination. That means there’s a lack of vitamins and nutrients. Since it continues to lose its nutrients until it’s ingested, you’re left with little to no vitamins and nutrients! If ever you can’t buy local, you can always buy your fruits/vegetables frozen as the vitamins and nutrients are preserved once frozen!

#2 Buy Organic!

Look, with the number of pesticides, herbicides, and any other types of ides (also known as carcinogens) that are sprayed on our fruits/vegetables, you really want to make sure to shift towards buying organic as much as possible. That way it lessens the toxic load on our liver, and it creates a beautiful environment for our 70 trillion cells to thrive! You can always refer for the dirty dozen, clean fifteen’s list if you’re on a budget.  Which is basically all fruits and vegetables that have thick skin, are safer to buy conventional.  Besides, you’re damn worth the extra $ if it means staying healthy long term!

#3 Add supplements to your diet!

Keep in mind that supplements help support a healthy diet. You can’t expect to eat junk food all day long and think that the supplements will take care of the rest. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way!  The reason it’s important to add supplements to our diet is because of the depletion of our vitamins and nutrients in our soils and transportation of the fruits and vegetables.

The supplements I take are;

Moringa Leaf: which is known to be a potent multivitamin

Camu Camu: High in Vitamin C to help boost my immune system

Ashwagandha and Maca Root: Which are known adaptogens to help relieve stress and boosts your energy levels

Spirulina: Helps to oxidize your PH levels

Turmeric: Which contains anti-inflammatory properties

I hope this message serves you well! If you feel like anybody would benefit from increasing their raw food intake, then feel free to spread the love by sharing this blog post.

Until next time, Remember, Keep Progressing Towards your Health and Wellness

Cheers
