Love cannot co-exist with Fear (Copy)
Love cannot co-exist with fear, just like fear cannot co-exist with love
Hi Everyone
My name is Nancy and I’m your health coach tuning in once again to provide you with tips and tools you can use to help facilitate your own journey towards health and wellness.
Once I started implementing this philosophy on a daily basis, it truly changed the quality of my life. It made such a difference in my anxiety that it inspired me to create an online course to help others live in a state of love rather than living in a state of fear. You can check it out on my website at www.yourjourneytowardswellness.com. In fact, here’s the link https://www.yourjourneytowardswellness.com/reduce-your-stress-reduce-your-waistline
At the very least, I hope this blog post will inspire you to live in a state of love so you can reduce your fear and anxiety once and for all. I must say, this is an ongoing practice because our brain is not designed to make us happy, it’s designed to make us safe. So, it’ll often focus on the stressors in our lives. Especially if we’ve been conditioned to live in a state of fight or flight.
Dr. Joe Dispenza says it best when he says “To change, we must be greater than our environment. If we don’t have any vision for the future, then we’re left with the memories of the past”. Meaning, if you want your future to be greater than your past, you must work on boosting your love hormones so you can live in a state of love rather than living in a state of fear.
Let me start by explaining what the heck I’m talking about, LOL.
Each and every one of us has these happy chemicals living inside of us that are designed to make us thrive and not only survive this precious life.
They’re called E.D.S.O
Endorphins
Dopamine
Serotonin
Oxytocin
The two first chemicals are designed for our survival. We, humans, are built for endurance, which is one of the reasons why our species survived, and others didn’t.
Let me explain; In caveman years, endorphins were produced to mask physical pain and make us feel good, so we’d go and spend hours or days hunting for our food.
In today’s modern world, we get endorphins when we exercise. This is why we love exercising so much. It boosts our love hormones, making us feel good!
Dopamine is another chemical that was designed for our survival. Especially in the caveman years.
We get dopamine when we work towards our goals. This served us well thousands of years ago because if we waited until we were hungry to eat, chances are we wouldn’t have food ready for us to eat. In today’s modern world, this serves us well when it comes to chasing our goals and aspirations!
Dopamine however can be highly addictive if it’s not used properly.
We get dopamine when we eat, which is why we love to eat. Other things that release dopamine are; Drugs/Alcohol, Shopping/Gambling, and Cell Phones.
That’s why we can easily get addicted to these things because we get a boost of dopamine which makes us feel good. The problem with that is it doesn’t necessarily serve our health and wellbeing when we abuse it.
Serotonin and Oxytocin are designed for us to thrive and feel connected to others.
We get serotonin when others are proud of us and when we’re proud of ourselves.
A major part of our serotonin lies in our gut which is why when we have a healthy gut, we have a healthy mind. There are certain foods that boost serotonin levels.
Foods that are rich in omega 3 fats and amino acids.
Foods like;
Salmon
Banana
Turkey
Chocolate
Chia Seeds
Flax Seeds
Walnuts
Hemp Hearts
If we’re low in serotonin levels, chances are, we’ll feel anxious, depressed, angry, sad and we can even suffer from chronic fatigue. In my case it was anxiety
That’s why when I started healing my gut by eating a clean diet rich in whole foods, omega 3 fats, prebiotic, and probiotics, I was able to reduce my anxiety.
Unfortunately, serotonin can work against us if we’re not mindful of how it can serve our health and wellbeing. We get a hit of serotonin thru material wealth and status. This is why some of us try and keep up with the Jones even if we can’t afford it because it makes us feel love and accepted. But since there wasn’t any real relationship attached to it, it gets to a point where it’s never enough.
Another way we can trick serotonin is when we identify ourselves with the roles that we play or the titles we earn. For example; a Doctor, a Lawyer, a Teacher, a Therapist, a Mom, ETC…) The problem is when that role is taken away from us, we feel lost. So, it’s important we use this chemical wisely.
Oxytocin is, in my opinion, the best chemical of all, we get oxytocin through acts of kindness, service, and generosity. Since Oxytocin is a growth hormone, it helps us stay healthy and happy when we’re kind and generous towards others. The study has shown that volunteers and happy people live longer because they have oxytocin (growth hormone) rushing through their veins.
So, if you want to live a healthy and happy life, you must consider working on boosting these love hormones. Trust me, speaking from experience, it makes a huge difference In your health and wellbeing!
I hope this blog post serves you well. If you feel like anybody would benefit from this message feel free to spread the love by sharing it
Until next time you guys, remember, just keep progressing on your own journey towards health and wellness
