Choose Adventure!

Hi Everybody,

My name is Nancy Pitre and I’m a certified holistic health coach. This week, I feel compelled to write about seeking adventure! Do you find yourself playing it safe and staying inside your comfort zone? Do you find yourself leaning more towards security instead of seeking adventure? Well let me tell you, I can totally relate as I spent countless years living a caged life. It was like I was a prisoner in my own mind. Looking back, I can understand the reasons why. You see, growing up, I was raised in foster care for most of my life. I was fortunate enough to live in an amazing foster home with a loving foster mom, but I was still bounced around between different relief homes on weekends mixed with toxic visits with my birth parents. Not to mentioned being teased and bullied in school and having my twin sister, who was, for the most part, my security, decided to run away at the age of 13. All of the insecurity and instability resulted in adapting a fearful mindset! It wasn’t until I started doing the work in my own personal growth/self development, and having a spiritual practice, that I was able to break free from the fearful chains. Once I learned how to live in a state of love rather than living in a state of fear, I was able to experience what it’s like to be free. This gave me the confidence I needed to step outside my confort zone and grow into my best self!

So if you’re someone who’s trapped in a fearful mindset, I’d like to share with you some of my own takeaways that helped me live life on my own terms.

  1. Having a daily practice of listening or reading something that will put you in a empowering state. It can be an audiobook or a video on YouTube to help shift your mindset to work in your favour. Something that will elevate, motivate or inspire you to live your best life. Raising your consciousness and self awareness is key when it comes to living life on your terms. It’s so easy to let events take control of our situation unless we take control of our own mindset, which is why it is vital to have a personal growth and self development practice that will give you the tools you need when you’re facing challenging times. It will also give you the power of living a more meaningful and adventurous life.

  2. The power of affirmations: Our brain conditions itself through habitual thinking and self-communication.  We literally think 70 000 thoughts per day and If your habitual thinking and self-communication tends to be more negative and fearful than positive, it’ll ultimately affect your self-esteem, your self-worth, and your confidence. If you want to improve your life, it starts within. It starts with self-awareness and self-development where you become more aware of your negative thinking and scarcity mindset. Positive affirmation is a great tool, a great daily practice to increase your self-worth, your self-esteem, and your confidence because you’re literally firing and wiring the neurones inside your brain to be more positive and care-free. I include this practice during my morning routine to help set the tone for my day! Something along the lines of “live life to the fullest or seek adventure, not security” I highly recommend you give yourself that gift of conditioning your brain to be more positive so you can live a life you desire and deserve!

  3. The power of the love and gratitude: You see our brain is designed to keep us alive and safe; it’s not designed to make us happy. That’s our job to condition our brain to be happier by practicing love and gratitude.

Every night before bed, write 3 things you’re grateful for. Also be on the lookout of what you can be grateful for throughout your day so you can write it down before going to bed. This will condition your brain to be less fearful so you can live a life full of adventure!

Implement these 3 best practices and you’ll soon find yourself seeking an adventurous life that will allow you to be more joyful and grow into your best self, your highest self, one that’s not constricted by a scarcity mindset and limiting beliefs.

I hope this blog post serves you well, if you feel like anybody would benefit from this message, feel free to share it!

Until next you guys, remember, keep progressing on your own journey towards health and wellness!

Cheers
