How to stay on top of your goals in 2025

Happy Holidays Everyone!

I hope you had a wholesome Christmas spent with loved ones!!

As we’re wrapping up 2024 and heading into a new beginning I thought I’d share with you some strategies to help you stay on top of your New Year Resolutions in 2025. 

Every year we have the best intentions to be the best version of ourselves (Health, Finances, Relationships, etc…) and as the months pass us by, we sometimes lose momentum.

The reason we lose momentum is we tend to focus more on the “WHAT” vs on the “HOW”. 

Meaning, We want to lose weight. We want more financial freedom, We want to have better relationships, etc…But we rarely spend time/energy on creating a template that supports those goals.

For example: In 2025 I want to work on creating more financial abundance. So I ask myself; What does that look like? Every pay I will put away 30% and divide it into 3 accounts (Bills, Fun, Savings) so I can measure my progress. This formula inspires me to keep going because I have something tangible to work with. 

If it’s losing weight for you in 2025, Create a tangible plan that will help you progress towards your goal. For example: Every Sunday, look at your week and write down the date/time/type of exercise you will focus on and which day of the week you will meal prep.

The other thing to consider as you think of your New Year Resolutions is your WHY!. I love this quote by Less Brown “When we have a strong enough “WHY”, we can withstand any HOW!”

It’s easy to stay motivated when things go smoothly but once we run into challenges, we often give up on ourselves unless we have a strong enough reason (WHY) to carry us through the challenges. 

Going back to my own goals of financial abundance, my strong “WHY” is building a country home on our property in 4 years.

The last thing I would suggest to help you stick to your goals in 2025 is CONSISTENCY.

I love this quote by Tony Robbins “Consistency is the mother of all skills!”

The more we stay consistent with our goals the more it becomes a habit and part of our new way of being. Because it’s not about what we achieve, rather it’s about who we become in the process.

Recap on how to stay on top of your goals in 2025. 

  • Write down your top 3 goals and tasks/templates that will support those goals.

  • Write down your “WHY” that will help carry you through challenging times

  • Revisit your goals daily so you are reminded of what you’re working on.
