Water is everything!
Hi Everybody,
How are you on this beautiful Friday?! My name is Nancy Pitre and I am a Certified Holistic Health Coach. Today I feel compelled to write a blog post about water! As you know, we literally cannot survive without H2O. What you may not realize is why it’s so important to stay hydrated. Let me explain:
Every cell, tissue and organ in your body needs water to work properly. For example:
Gets rid of wastes through urination, sweating and bowel moments
Keeps your temperature normal
Lubricates joints
It provides oxygen throughout the body
Promotes skin health
Boosts your digestive system
Regulates blood pressure
Acts as a vehicle for vitamins and nutrients
Boosts energy
lose weight
Keeping hydrated is crucial for your health and well-being, but many people do not consume enough fluids each day, In fact, when the individual consumes less water and resort to caffeinated drinks or drinks loaded with sugar, it dehydrates them even more.
Did you know 60% of the body is made up of water? A lack of water can lead to dehydration which can drain your energy and make you tired.
How much water do you need?
Every day you lose water through your breath, sweat, urine and bowel movements. For your body to function properly, you must replenish its water supply by consuming beverages and foods rich in water.
About 3.7 liters for men
About 2.7 liters for Women
How do you know if you’re hydrated?
You rarely feel thirsty or hungry
Your urine is colourless or light yellow
How can you prevent dehydration?
Make sure you drink your daily water requirement intake
Drink more water before, during and after exercising
Drink water if you’re feeling hungry as thirst is often confused with hunger
Create daily habits for your daily water intake. For example: drink a full glass of water upon arising. every time you go to the washroom, drink a full glass of water
Hope this serves you well my friends!!
If you fee like anybody would benefit from this message feel free to share this blog post and I look forward to hearing your feedback as well.
Until next time my friends, Keep progressing on your own journey towards health and wellness!
Cheers
